Although deservedly renowned for its classic landscapes, Iceland has much more to offer than just magnificent beauty. In the winter, a moody, determined, lonely environment can be found, captured here in a series of images all shot through the window of a moving vehicle on either side of five hours of daylight, forcing technical compromises that, I believe, allow for a seeing of these other aspects of its beauty.
